Model of the Bluenose (early interpretation) – Eugène Leclerc

A superb handcrafted model of the legendary Bluenose, made by Eugène Leclerc in a very special and sought-after version. This piece comes from a period when the craftsman had never seen the real ship: he therefore created his first representations based on descriptions from his clients, notably using the hull of La Canadienne as a base.

The result is a model with a unique character, reflecting an intuitive and original approach to the famous schooner. Constructed of wood with a black and red finish, it presents a beautiful contrast and an authentic patina.

Numerous meticulous details: complete rigging, pulleys, deck fitted with accessories, anchor and functional elements faithfully reproduced. Rests on its original wooden stand.

A rare and historically significant piece, ideal for the discerning collector or enthusiast of Quebec's maritime heritage.

Dimensions: Approximately 34 inches x 28 inches

Condition: Good overall condition with consistent period wear, adding to the model's charm
