LIABILITY RELEASE FORM
BY ACCEPTING THE TRANSACTION ON THE EXPOANTIQUE SITE AIMING TO ACQUIRE A DECORATIVE OR COLLECTIBLE WEAPON, I AGREE TO ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE POSSESSION, TRANSPORTATION, STORAGE, HANDLING AND LEGAL OR PROHIBITED USE OF THE WEAPON WHICH DESCRIPTION APPEARS ON THE STATEMENT OF THE PURCHASE TRANSACTION AND WAS PURCHASED A SITE OWNED AND ADMINISTERED BY BANKS & MACKENZIE INC., such as, by way of example and not limitation, any risk that may result from negligence persons or entities, dangerous or defective equipment or goods that they own, maintain, sell or control.
I ACKNOWLEDGE that this disclaimer may be used by BANKS & MACKENZIE INC. in the case of constraints, incident, accident, legal proceedings or any other situation involving the weapon acquired by the transaction completed on the site.
I MAKE THE FOLLOWING COMMITMENTS IN MY NAME AND THAT OF MY EXECUTORS, MY HEIRS, MY NEXT RELATIVES, MY SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS.
1. I RELEASE FROM ALL LIABILITY, including but not limited to liability related to negligence which may result in my death, disability, injury, damage, theft or action of any kind which may happen to me arising from possession , storage, transportation, handling, legal or prohibited use of the weapon sold by BANKS & MACKENZIE INC., as well as by its employees, volunteers, representatives and agents, as well as its suppliers and partners .
2. I AGREE NOT TO LEGALLY SUE BANKS & MACKENZIE INC. as well as the persons or entities mentioned in this paragraph for any liability or claim arising from the possession, storage, transportation, handling, legal or prohibited use of a weapon sold by BANKS & MACKENZIE INC. , whether caused by negligence or not. I acknowledge that BANKS & MACKENZIE INC. and its employees, volunteers, representatives and agents, as well as its suppliers and partners CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for the errors, omissions, actions or failures of any person who participated in the sale or restoration of the weapon.
3. I ACKNOWLEDGE that the possession, storage, transportation, handling, use of the firearm sold or restored, but not limited to, by BANKS & MACKENZIE INC. may involve legal obligations and restrictions in force in the territory as well as risks of serious injury, disability or mortality AND THAT I CANNOT, AND THIS, FOR ANY CONSIDERATION, INVOLVE OR LEGALLY PROSECUTE BANKS & MACKENZIE INC in the event that this weapon sold or restored by BANKS & MACKENZIE INC. must be involved in any act prohibited by territorial laws and regulations.

Regulations Designating Historic Firearms
On the recommendation of the Minister of Justice and pursuant to the definition of historic firearm in paragraph 84 and paragraph 117.15 of the Criminal Code , His Excellency the Governor General in Council makes the Regulations Designating Historic Firearms , hereinafter .

Designation
1 The firearms listed in the schedule are historic firearms for the purposes of the definition of historic firearm in section 84 of the Criminal Code .
Coming into force
2 This regulation comes into force on December 1, 1998.

Reproductions of black powder weapons

1 Reproductions of flintlock, wheellock and matchlock rifles manufactured after 1897, with the exception of reproductions of handguns.
Rifles
-
2 Rifles manufactured before 1898 which can only fire rimfire cartridges with the exception of 22 Short, 22 Long or 22 Long Carbine caliber cartridges.

3 Rifles manufactured before 1898 which can fire centerfire cartridges, which have a smooth bore or a rifled bore and whose caliber is 8.3 millimeters or more — measured between the two diametrically opposed partitions in the case of rifles having a rifled soul —, with the exception of repeating weapons powered by any type of magazine.
Shotguns

4 Shotguns manufactured before 1898 that can only fire rimfire cartridges, with the exception of those that can fire 22 Short, 22 Long or 22 Long Carbine caliber cartridges.

5 Shotguns manufactured before 1898 that can fire centerfire cartridges, except those that can fire 10, 12, 16, 20, 28 or 410 caliber cartridges.
Handguns

6 Handguns manufactured before 1898 that can only fire rimfire cartridges, except those that can fire 22 Short, 22 Long or 22 Carabine Longe caliber cartridges.

7 Handguns manufactured before 1898 that can fire centerfire cartridges, except those designed or adapted to fire 32 Short Colt, 32 Long Colt, 32 Smith and Wesson, 32 Smith and Wesson Long cartridges , 32-20 Winchester, 38 Smith and Wesson, 38 Short Colt, 38 Long Colt, 38-40 Winchester, 44-40 Winchester or 45 Colt.
