Remarkable and unique work inspired by the Souvrainiste movement in Quebec in 1979. On December 20, 1979, the PQ government led by René Lévesque tabled the referendum question. It will be passed to Quebecers during the referendum on sovereignty-association scheduled for 1980.
As an artist, Bernard Séguin-Poirier is also recognized for the numerous collective artistic creation projects that he has put forward, particularly with young people in schools, both in the region and elsewhere in Quebec, notably in the Children’s Space Project.
We also owe him numerous contributions through philanthropic activities for the benefit of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation and the Le Phare-enfants,families organization.
His works are also part of numerous collections and have been seen in various public places such as the Montreal Casino, the Veterans Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Notre-Dame Hospital, Sainte-Justine, the Bank Royale du Canada in Montreal or at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, to name just a few.
Séguin-Poirier's work has also been the subject of seven art books, which allow you to discover his particular art in depth.
